Vintage silk kimono robe in blue and ivory bamboo print. Dating from the 1950s. Ro silk is woven by twisting and skipping some threads, creating an open striped effect in the weave, and giving it a gauze like quality to the fabric. Not lined, it is perfect for warmer weather. It comes with simple printed sash. It is in very good condition, couple small marks, see them in the last photo.

Please note: This kimono is 100% pure silk. Ro weaving creates a fabric that is more slick on the surface and feels different, more like a heavier chiffon gauze. It does not feel like what you may think of as traditional silk.
